Holiday compensation. Don’t be bought off.

Over the years we’ve encountered many cases where travel companies when faced with complaints from holidaymakers have tried to buy them off, offering derisory amounts of compensation for illness or accident even when children are involved. It’s an attempt by tour operators to stem the tide of the so-called 'compensation culture' and some holidaymakers have been happy to accept the offers made and draw a line under the whole sorry holiday experience.

We reiterate that you should never accept compensation or indeed hand over any documentation to travel companies or their solicitors without first getting independent advice.
