Children's Safety In Holidays

I can remember when Madaleine McCann disappeared and the howl from the 'chattering classes' against this dignified family.  At the time we cautioned against that kind of commentary and the need to examine the evidence in what had become an extraordinary situation.

Fast forward to 2013, and we now see much progress being made in Portugal about this little girl.

  1. The qualifications of those that run 'Kids Clubs' in resorts;
  2. Who is responsible for the running of those clubs;
  3. How children sometimes 'disappear' from those charged with their care;
  4. Grooming of young people by 'friendly' hotel staff;
  5. The unwanted attentions given to young people by cruise ship staff;
  6. The response of the hoteliers, cruise companiues, tour operators and local authorities to these and other serious issues.

The articles on this page cover these serious concerns and our attempt to make sure that they remain high on the Travel Industry agenda!
