We receive contact from holidaymakers or concerned parents about the issue of alcohol. We sometimes hear from 'whilstleblowers' in resorts; all have the same story - they or their loved ones have suffered at the hands of those bars and clubs that serve either vast qualtities of alcohol for a ridiculously low price, or that the drinks are spiked and are passed off as familiar or popular brands.
Many stories we hear tell how young people often get separated from their friends and are then subjected to a 'robbery'.
It is also clear that resorts operate on the 'free-for-all' principle, with little or no oversight by a resort's local or police authorities.
We are working with those in resorts to try and find a way to highlight those shortcomings, but also to tell the real story - not the variety offered by some TV Production Companies, whose fly on the wall offerings only serve to hide the dark side of the entertainment industry and alcohol!
