Major work on River Nile Cruise Boat - failure to advise UK Consumers before departure

We have recently been on a Nile Cruise on the [NAME OF BOAT] through [NAME OF TOUR OPERATOR]. Our complaint was that maintenance work was being carried out during the night keeping us awake. We paid for a suite on the top deck only to be kept awake whilst staff continued with their work. Under no circumstnaces was the noise created by other guests. I have tried to make a claim direct with the company but they are only interested in 1 of our points, not the overall position. If you can help we would be very grateful.
