I have done a booking to Florida with [TOUR OPERATOR. I travel on Tuesday 23rd June 2009 for 14 days. On my booking there are 4 adults and one child aged 2. We booked a hotel called [NAME OF HOTEL] on International Drive. This holiday was sold to us as a bed & breakfast holiday. We were lead to believe that this was a buffet type breakfast. The breakfast was one of the main reasons that we booked this hotel as a lot of Florida hotels are room only. This hotel is now closed and we have been moved to [NAME OF HOTEL] on International Drive. We have been told that we can collect $1 per person per day during our trip. They then told us that they would give us 2 breakfasts and one evening meal voucher also after we complained. However, we booked bed and breakfast holiday, and didnt budget for this. We were told by the travel agent that we could go to [NAME OF HOTEL] for our breakfast for “cheap” however this will cost us an extra $300 just for our breakfast. I think this is totally unacceptable. There have been several bookings for this hotel and the other parties are also not happy about the $dollar a day deal. [TOUR OPERATOR] are getting away with this and we are out of pocket twice (one for the actual holiday and the other for the extra breakfast we know need to buy) My Sister in Law, her partner and daughter have also booked with [TOUR OPERATOR] and we just seem to be conned by the travel agents and most of all [TOUR OPERATOR]. Please help me with this problem.
