I am due to take a holiday in [NAME OF HOTEL], Sarigerme, Turkey on the 17th September (09). Since booking this holiday with [NAME OF TOUR OPERATOR] (23 aug 09) I have read various reports of an illness outbreak. I went to my local branch whom contacted their admin department who said they had not heard of any problems, but as they were worryingly vague I made further calls to [NAME OF TOUR OPERATOR] customer services who read out a press statement that basically said there have been a few cases (air borne virus) but are not advising people to cancel or change any bookings. I have since searched online for this press statement and have been unable to find it. As I am pregnant and have a 21 month old toddler, I have concerns about taking this holiday but as they are going to charge £50 per person to ammend any bookings I am a little unhappy to do so unless absolutly neccessary. I am therefor in search of an accurate, impartial answer to whether or not there is a serious outbreak of illness at this destination.
